In regards to the people living in those areas being happier than most Americans who have everything, I noticed the same thing in Ecuador when we visited the Afro-Ecuadorian villages to provide dental care and assistance. It blew me away to see people with so little loving life so much. We could really learn a lot from them.
Also, those same Afro-Ecuadorian also loved playing around with our cameras just like the kids you visited. It was the cutest thing :) Glad to hear you’re having such an amazing trip.
